Punjab Helps More Kids Go to School with Cash Support
Punjab has reached a big success in helping kids go to school. Under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program, 99% of the targeted students are now enrolled. This means thousands of children are now attending school regularly, thanks to the cash help their families receive every month.
This program is part of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). It gives money to poor families so they can send their children to school without worrying about school fees, uniforms, or books.
What Is the Taleemi Wazaif Program?
Taleemi Wazaif is a school support program for families already getting help from BISP. It’s made to keep kids in school by giving money every month. To get the support:

They must attend school at least 70% of the month.

The family must already be part of the BISP Kafalat program.
The program gives more money for girls than boys. This is to help increase the number of girls going to school. Girls who finish primary school also get a bonus payment.
Big Success in Punjab
Between April and June 2025, Punjab aimed to enroll 240,000 new students. By the end of June, more than 238,000 children were already part of the program—reaching 99% of the target.
